The nilgai is Asia’s largest antelope and is native to the grasslands and forests of India. Males have a distinctive blue-gray coat, while females are tan in color. These swift, adaptable herbivores feed on grasses, leaves, and shrubs and can run at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour to escape predators.
